As a Data Protection Advisor, you will be at the forefront of resolving some of the most pressing data protection challenges of the day. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Advisor to join our team. As a Data Protection Advisor, you will be responsible for executing data protection support work and compliance efforts required by clients. You will work closely with our clients to provide tailored data protection improvement and project management, ensuring that they meet their data protection requirements. Key Responsibilities Providing outsourced DPO and DPO Assist services to clients, including tasks such as: Developing consent and privacy notices Managing SARs (Subject Access Requests) Guiding clients through personal data breaches Fulfilling data protection compliance requirements, including: Data protection impact assessments Compliance audits Gap analyses Data mapping services to aid in addressing risk management issues and complying with data protection requirements Independent project management of client workloads, ensuring project deliverables are of a high quality and on time Writing briefs for clients on relevant topic areas, including newsletter pieces and other outreach material Attending and presenting at client meetings Business development tasks, including developing proposals and bids for new projects Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Experience Relevant postgraduate qualification: LLM or other relevant postgraduate qualification and/or CIPP/E or other data protection or information security compliance certifications Professional experience: 3+ years' professional experience in a data protection specific role Working knowledge of data protection legislation: Thorough working knowledge of UK and/or EU data protection legislation Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyse legislative requirements and translate these into organisational practices and solutions Project management skills: Project management skills, with a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion Stakeholder management skills: Stakeholder management skills and experience Excellent writing and communication skills: Excellent writing and communication skills Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail Desirable Qualifications and Experience Business development experience: Experience of business development and proposal/tender writing Client management and customer service skills: Strong client management and customer service skills Cybersecurity knowledge: A working knowledge of cybersecurity Experience with other privacy frameworks: Experience of other privacy frameworks outside of GDPR Knowledge of national data protection legislation: Knowledge of national data protection legislation for the US or other EU countries Experience of writing newsletters and outreach materials: Experience of writing newsletters and outreach materials Experience of working in large/complex organisations: Experience of working in large/complex organisations Experience of working in a consulting environment or capacity: Experience of working in a consulting environment or capacity What We Offer As a Data Protection Advisor with Trilateral Research, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: Competitive salary: A competitive salary commensurate with experience Enhanced holiday entitlement: Enhanced holiday entitlement increasing with service Company sick pay and family-friendly pay: Company sick pay and family-friendly pay Flexible working hours: Flexible working hours and remote working/working from home options Enhanced pension scheme: Enhanced pension scheme based on service Continuous career development: Continuous career development opportunities Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Trilateral Research, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
