Position Summary
As a Data Ops Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, resilient distributed systems for data ingestion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide a frictionless experience for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of protection and availability.
Responsibilities
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems for data ingestion
Create dashboards that display next-level metrics for consumption
Design and implement data quality solutions, data lineage solutions, and data product management
Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
Utilize programming languages like Python, C#, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services, and Azure tools and services
Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
Assume ownership of existing business processes and services, driving enhancements and continuous improvement
Requirements
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in Big Data
2+ years of experience with architecture and design, cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and open-source frameworks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
Programming experience with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#
In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms, micro-services oriented architecture, and DevOps concepts
Experience with GIT, GraphDB, Big Data, Load test tooling, troubleshooting tools, Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling
