Data Manager / Visualization Specialist – Active Secret Clearance

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid, 1 day a week) Clearance Required: Active Secret Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 We are seeking a skilled Data Manager/Visualization Specialist to support Agile program performance tracking and executive reporting for our federal client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing JIRA dashboards, administering Agile tooling, and developing data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. This role will focus on transforming Agile metrics and operational data into actionable insights that drive decision-making for Coast Guard leadership. Strong communication, dashboard design, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential. Primary Responsibilities: • Administer and manage JIRA dashboards to track Agile team performance and program health. • Create, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. • Support Agile metrics collection, analysis, and reporting across multiple teams. • Develop and deliver executive-level reports and briefings, translating data insights into strategic recommendations. • Ensure transparency and alignment by maintaining accurate data across JIRA, Confluence, and visualization platforms. • Collaborate with Agile teams, Product Owners, and leadership to define meaningful performance metrics. • Assist with KPI tracking, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain documentation and ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: • Active Secret clearance (required at time of application). • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field. • 3+ years of hands-on JIRA administration or dashboard management experience. • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools. • Familiarity with Python • Experience supporting Agile software or data-focused teams. • Strong skills in data interpretation, reporting, and stakeholder communication. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting federal or mission-driven environments. • Familiarity with Agile metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards. • Ability to present complex data clearly to executive and non-technical audiences. • Knowledge of Confluence, MS Teams, and other collaboration tools. Eligibility: • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. • Active Secret clearance is required for this role.
