Data Entry + Content Writer + editing for Outdoor Guidebooks
Overview
We are seeking a talented data entry and Content Writer to join our team. as a freelancer (work from home; in office or meet rarely.) The ideal candidate will have a skills in data entry, specifically taking our PDF data from books we publish and placing the data into either Google Sheets or Excel. Some minor content writing is needed to enhance our existing data and expand on it. You must have or learn Ai tools to work with our data. This is just working with ChatGPT or similar to place data into spreadsheets. Nothing difficult.
Duties
- Write minor content (outdoor industry related)
- Conduct research on industry-related data
- Fact-check and proofread content to ensure accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with experts or our authors
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines
- Use AI tools to rapidly populate the data our spreadsheets & use prompts to replicate some of our data and fill in missing data.
Experience
- Experience in writing, creative writing, or journalism
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent research skills to produce high-quality content
- Familiarity with fact-checking processes
- Proficiency in proofreading and editing written content
We really just need someone with good writing and basic research skills to go through our existing books and expand on the data for a digital product we offer.
A sample of exactly what you would be doing is:
Take a PDF of one of our Outdoor Guidebooks
Copy the data into a spreadsheet using an AI tool so it can be copied efficiently
In places where data is missing you may need to research and write up small paragraphs
Use an AI tool to duplicate data in the spreadsheet where other data is missing
Edit and make sure the final spreadsheet is accurate compared to the original PDF
