Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a distributed team of data engineers focused on large-scale data pipeline development and optimization.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define data strategy, governance practices, and KPIs.
Manage resource allocation, sprint planning, and cross-functional project deliverables.
Oversee the deployment of scalable data solutions, while ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations.
Evaluate and recommend technologies to support enterprise data initiatives.
Remove technical blockers and support team growth through strategic feedback and coaching.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong organizational and communication skills; technical depth not required but helpful.
Proven success in managing remote technical teams.
Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
