Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer Manager to join our enterprise data team. This senior-level position is pivotal in shaping our data strategy and infrastructure. The successful candidate will focus on the development and implementation of an enterprise data model using Microsoft Fabric, with the overarching goal of enabling self-service analytics and standardizing data processes across the organization in alignment with our digital transformation. Additionally, this role requires balancing new implementations with the management of current operations.

As a Data Engineer Manager, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. You will be responsible for creating robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and consistency, and making data easily accessible for business users. Your expertise will help drive data-driven decision-making and innovation within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop an enterprise data model using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from various sources.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Implement medallion architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Develop and manage ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into the enterprise data model.
• Optimize data transformations for performance and reliability.
• Enable self-service analytics by designing data models that are easily accessible and understandable by business users.
• Implement best practices for data storage, indexing, and retrieval to ensure efficient data access.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support in their technical delivery and development.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
• Balance new implementations with the management of current operations to ensure seamless data operations.

Requirements:
• Advanced in SQL, PySpark, and Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
• Experience with comprehensive data conversion projects is preferred.
• Extensive experience with relational database systems.
• Experience with both on-premises and cloud ETL toolsets (preferably SSIS, ADF, Informatica, Synapse, AWS).
• Experience working under federal, international, and SOX compliance.
• Familiarity with Web API and Rest API data extraction.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience; a technical degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of professional experience in data engineering, architecture, or development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.

Salary Range: $52.26 - $91.44
