Job description: Description:CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Azure) opening for our client in Cincinnati, OH.Location: Remote for now, may have to relocate to Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 8 monthsDuties:Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures on Azure Databricks.Optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure efficiency in data processing, storage, and retrieval.Utilize Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Azure-native services to build high-performance data solutions.Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within Azure environments.Troubleshoot and fine-tune Spark jobs for optimal performance and cost efficiency.Skills:Strong proficiency in Azure Databricks and Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse).Expertise in Apache Spark and Delta Lake.Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline design.Solid knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance within cloud environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and distributed data systems.Proven track record of designing and optimizing scalable data architectures.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.CTG does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services for this role.To Apply:To be considered, please apply directly to this requisition using the link provided.
