Data Business Analyst - Remote

In this role, you will serve as the bridge between business operations and data, translating complex business requirements into actionable insights and data-driven solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, expertise in data extraction and visualization, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences. Accountabilities: • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders. • Translate business needs into technical specifications, data models, and actionable insights. • Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using SQL or other tools. • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in business performance. • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure data accuracy and integrity. • Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders to drive informed decision-making. • Support data governance, quality assurance, and process documentation initiatives. • Contribute to the design and optimization of workflows, systems, and business processes. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in data or business analysis roles. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and one or more BI tools. • Understanding of databases, data modeling, and ETL concepts. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. • Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable business terms. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Preferred: Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages. • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake. • Knowledge of CRM, ERP, or financial systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP). • Industry-specific experience (e.g., fintech, healthcare, retail) is a plus. • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses. • Flexible work hours and remote work options. • Learning and professional development support. • Collaborative, data-driven work culture. • Health, wellness, and technology allowances.
