You power Sagent!JOB SUMMARYTheData Architect Principalposition plays a key role in providing key data modeling and integration support and contributions as part of Sagent Enterprise Data Analytics and Architecture team. This position needs to foster innovative thinking in the cloud-first, data-first paradigms; and very high focus on quality and timeliness of deliverables.This position will serve as a key liaison between Business stakeholders and IT; working closely with business groups to understand their needs and define system requirements through fact finding and research.This position is critical to driving the strategic value of data and application infrastructure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe Data Architect is responsible for designing and developing data models that accurately represent the organization's data requirements. They work with business stakeholders to identify key data elements and design models that meet the organization's needs. Work with large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Use statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools to interpret the data and provide meaningful insights to the organization.Maintain data models to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date. They monitor data quality and work with data engineers to resolve any issues. Establish and maintain comprehensive data model documentation including detailed descriptions of business entities, attributes, and data relationships.Understands the flow of data, business processes/technical interfaces that would be created or impacted and Provide data mappings requirements, user interface specifications, processing logic as per business requirements to the ETL team.Coordinate with Business partners, Technical Analysts and Developers to identify and define specifications, indicate areas of system impact and continuously communicate project status and needs.Manages change control processes and ensures program/project communications.Strong leadership, communications, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate status to senior management team.Analyzes current state and conceives desired future state; and conceives projects needed to close the gap between current and future goals.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMust have 12+ years of experience as a data modeler, developer, data warehouse consumer and / or data related operations3+ Years of working experience or exposure to Azure, GCP or any other Cloud development and deployment practices.4+ Years of Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.3+ years of experience in implementing dimensional data warehouse on Snowflake.3+ years of experience with deployments via devops CI/CD pipelines.Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.Ability to astutely operate in the organization, and being able to emphasize methodology, modeling and (Data, Process and Application) governance.Hands-On, working knowledge of .Net, Java and SQL language, (i.e. T-SQL (Microsoft)Mid-level to expert knowledge in data integration concepts, source-to-target mapping techniques and requirements documentation for ETL team to followHighly skilled in managing all aspects of all sizes and complexities of multiple projects simultaneously across the software development life cycle phases (SDLC).Strong track record of interviewing business partners, setting and managing expectations in relation to deliverables and requirementsUnderstanding of Agile development methodologies and software project life cycle and associated methodologies.Experience with standard systems analysis tools and proceduresAbility to prioritize and handle multiple projects.Excellent problem solving, analytical, and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish deep understanding of clients business issues.Preferred3+ years of people leadership skills will be a big plus4+ Mortgage and/or financial industry knowledge is strongly preferredWorking knowledge of Big Data concepts in organizing both structured and unstructured data is a big plusPerks!As a Sagent Associate, you will be eligible to participate in our benefit programs beginning on Day #1!
