Data Analytics Engineer - Analyst/Associate

iCapital is seeking an exceptional Data Analytics Engineer to help scale the data foundations that power their business. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize the data pipelines and infrastructure that enable data to be a strategic asset across the organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and automate large scale, high-performance data platform pipelines and infrastructure to drive iCapital business growth and enable data-driven decision makingDesign and develop reusable components and frameworks for ingestion, cleansing, and data qualityStreamline the ingestion of raw data from various sources into our Data Lake and Data WarehouseDesign data models for optimal storage and retrieval that represent the tangible business domains across iCapital’s ecosystemCoordinate closely with operations, sales, and product development teams daily to push iCapital’s FinTech strategy and improve the overall profitability of our businessSkills1 - 3+ years of professional experience in a Data Engineering or data-driven Software Engineering roleExceptional Python and SQL skillsExtensive experience with orchestration frameworks (Prefect, Airflow, Dagster, etc.)Deep understanding of OLAP (Snowflake, Databricks) / OLTP (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) databases and ELT frameworks (dbt, dlthub)Experience developing and deploying code to Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)Possess a strong grasp of object-oriented/functional programming and an ability to write easy-to-scale, high-quality codeExperience leveraging stream processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, Spark)In depth understanding of infrastructure-as-code frameworks (terraform or cloud formation)Detail-oriented, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently while also being a strong team playerExcellent written and verbal communicationPassionate about learning and mastering cutting-edge technologiesProfessional experience with JVM based languages such as Scala, Java, and KotlinKnowledge of financial markets and financial instrumentsBenefitsEquity for all full-time employeesAnnual performance bonusEmployer matched retirement planGenerously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dentalVisionTelemedicineVirtual mental health counselingParental leaveUnlimited paid time off (PTO)Company OverviewiCapital is a fintech platform for alternative investments and investors.
