Data Analytics Apprenticeship, January 2025 Start

Remote Full-time
About the position

The Google Data Analytics apprenticeship is a structured learning and development opportunity designed for individuals who aspire to build entry-level technical and professional skills in data analytics. This apprenticeship program is registered with the Department of Labor and offers a comprehensive approach to learning through on-the-job training, related technical instruction, and career development workshops. Apprentices will engage in a variety of tasks that will help them develop essential data analysis skills, including the use of platforms such as spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau, and R programming. Throughout the 18-month program, apprentices will gain a deep understanding of the data lifecycle and how to apply their skills to solve real business problems across different units within Google. As a Data Analytics apprentice, you will be responsible for conducting custom analyses to uncover industry insights for both Google's customer and internal teams. You will utilize data to drive business decisions and quantify business impact, optimizing media by measuring and integrating business performance data in Google Ads platforms. Additionally, you will design statistically significant experiments and tests to answer research questions, assess the appropriate tools and languages to solve business problems, and present your findings to cross-functional partners to gather feedback and tailor your analyses based on business context. The apprenticeship begins with an immersive virtual onboarding experience that builds a foundational understanding of the profession. Following this, apprentices will join a Google team for on-the-job training while continuing to engage in track-specific learnings and career workshops. Apprentices are required to dedicate 40 hours each week to the program and will be compensated hourly for their time spent in training and instruction. Upon completion of the program, apprentices will receive a nationally-recognized credential certified by the United States Department of Labor, equipping them with the skills needed to pursue a successful career in data analytics.
