Market Competitor ResearchCollect and maintain up-to-date data on competitor pricing, promotions, discount programs, and product offeringsAnalyze sales strategies, service bundles, subscription models, and seasonal campaigns used by competing companiesTrack market trends and identify new players or shifting patterns in customer behavior2. Demand Consumption AnalysisStudy patterns in customer interest and service usage (locally and nationally)Analyze demand fluctuations and align findings with potential marketing or operational actionsProvide visual reports and summaries for internal decision-makers3. Product Price MonitoringMonitor prices on both services and physical products (e.g., cleaning supplies)Compare listings across platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, competitorsâ websitesRecommend adjustments to pricing strategy based on findings4. Data Collection and ReportingOrganize raw data into structured formats (spreadsheets, dashboards, summaries)Present findings through clear reports: Google Sheets, Slides, or dashboards (Notion, Zoho Analytics, or similar)Deliver weekly summaries, monthly deep dives, or ad-hoc reports on request5. Independent Research InitiativesTake initiative in identifying useful external data (government, industry reports, competitor updates, Google Trends, etc.)Track product/service launches, new models, territory expansions by others in the industrySuggest test campaigns or adjustments based on early signalsTools Provided / Used:Google Sheets / Zoho SheetsZoho Analytics (or Google Data Studio, if needed)Internal CRM Service Data (Zoho CRM, Books, etc.)Search platforms, comparison tools, market databases (public)RequirementsIdeal Skills & Experience:Strong analytical mindset and attention to detailConfidence working with structured and unstructured dataAbility to work autonomously and consistently deliver insightsExcellent research skills â Google, competitive intelligence, scraping (manual or tool-based)Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheets and dashboardsBonus (Not Required, But Awesome):Previous experience in market intelligence, data scraping, or analytics for SaaS/e-commerceExperience with Zoho Analytics, Tableau, or Power BIUnderstanding of home service, cleaning, or subscription-based markets.Independent Contractor perksHMO coverage for eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringSteady freelance jobPlease note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an âIndependent Contractorâ arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
