The Role: Workflow Systems Data Analyst

We're seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our Stage Services and Operations team within Core Operating Systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing pivotal workflow tooling at scale, enabling teams to deliver exceptional software through world-class engineering experiences, efficient workflows, data-driven insights, and a culture of relentless improvement.

Your primary focus will be delivering actionable data insights and engaging with partners across the organization to provide training and support for workflow initiatives. You'll translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities


Drive Workflow Improvement Initiatives: Engage with senior leadership to champion workflow improvement projects that enhance both quality and efficiency across all engineering teams
Dashboard Development & Visualization: Create, visualize, and present key metrics through interactive dashboards using Tableau. Iterate on designs and presentations based on stakeholder feedback
Data Translation & Insights: Transform raw data into meaningful insights; identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within large datasets that reveal opportunities for optimization
Process Research & Analysis: Research and document the current state of software development workflows; understand systemic challenges and pinpoint processes that require improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside data scientists and full-stack engineers to derive and develop targeted insights through interactive, data-driven dashboards using Tableau
Integration & Implementation: Partner directly with teams to integrate insights into their decision-making monitoring and operational processes
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track the outcomes of your contributions and regularly report on successes and challenges to executive leadership
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain client relationships; present findings to groups, gather feedback, and implement improvements based on stakeholder input


Essential Qualifications


Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
Professional Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in programming development as a data analyst, software developer, or technical program manager
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven experience planning and driving execution across diverse partner groups toward unified objectives
Technical Process Knowledge: Strong demonstrated understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Management principles
Strategic Communication: Ability to blend key success metrics, present methodology, and process recommendations to all levels of management
Process Documentation: Proficient at analyzing and documenting workflows and processes into visual workflow charts and diagrams
Data Analysis & Visualization: Hands-on experience working with data; querying, visualization, and presentation of quantitative information using Tableau
Presentation Skills: Excellent client relationship management skills; comfortable presenting to groups, gathering feedback, and implementing changes


Preferred Qualifications


Advanced proficiency in data analysis, summary statistics, and principles of empowering analysis, including advanced Tableau development
Proven track record of influencing positive outcomes across a distributed organization with formal organizational change methodologies
In-depth knowledge of DevOps metrics and LEAN software delivery concepts
Strong understanding of software development processes including build pipelines, merging, test frameworks and methodologies, and code delivery pipelines
Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling
Familiarity with agile methodologies and scrum processes
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in business contexts
