Data Analyst (Vietnamese)

Lightcast is looking for data driven individuals with specific language skills in order to help us expand our global features. This individual will be integral in ensuring we are able to deliver high quality data to our customers. Please note that this is a full-time (40 hrs/week) independent contractor position for up to 6 months. This role is BYOD-Bring Your Own Device (laptop). Major Responsibilities • Analyze, evaluate, and improve data quality for multilingual text classifiers. • Collaborate with linguistics and engineering teams to design and implement new language parsers. • Translate and align taxonomies across domains such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations. • Perform data analysis and cleanup using tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Python. • Apply rule-based techniques (e.g., RegEx) and language structure understanding to enhance model accuracy. • Conduct linguistic reviews and ensure consistency across languages, with a focus on Vietnamese. • Manage and organize large datasets, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in repetitive or detailed work. • Follow complex instructions, work independently, and adapt to ambiguity while meeting deadlines. • Demonstrate strong time management, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in task execution. • Maintain reliable access to required technology and internet connectivity to ensure productivity. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP or similar (preferred) • Knowledge of other languages.
