Data Analyst (Sales Operations & Marketing)

When that happens, we’re not only making life better for small business, we’ll be building a stronger economy that can change the world.As part of the Go to Market team, you will be the data enabler for supporting execution of the commercial strategic initiatives we want to achieve in at Xero in NZ. What you’ll do: Source relevant, reliable data for sales team, sales managers and leaders via various mediums, both ad hoc and periodicGenerating audience reports for tailored marketing initiatives - at times this involves reconciling between different data sourcesCreate insights for stakeholders in useful formats (for example reports, dashboards) to support business objectivesProvide analysis, commentary and guidance on data provided to assist decision making based on stakeholders’ needsImprove reporting and other operational processes, automating where appropriateBuild good working relationships with internal teamsUnderstand and adhere to data governance policyProvide sales operations support to the GTM team if needed What you’ll bring with you: Experience:Experience in an analyst position or a comparable field involving the use of SQL and Python for automation tasks (at least 1-2 years).Experience in understanding requirements and working collaboratively to shape ambiguous requests into clearly understood and answerable formsStrong communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to translate between business and technical audiencesCritical competencies:Strong SQL Skills - regularly employ SQL queries on a day-to-day basisIt would be important to know at least one programming language (preferably Python)Proficiency in using Snowflake for data warehousing, processing, and queryingUnderstand AWS stack (not critical but good to have)Preferably some statistical knowledge (good to have skill)Ability to multitaskAbility to tell stories using modern data analytics and visualisation toolsProactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptionally self-motivated and directedCompetent at translating and presenting data findings into insights for business decision makersCollaborate and effectively communicate with various stakeholdersAbility to comprehend and have an understanding of the wider Teams, portfolio of delivery and how you fit into that Additional Information Why Xero?Offering very generous paid leave to use however you’d like (plus statutory holidays!), dedicated paid leave to care for your physical and mental wellbeing as well as an Employee Assistance Program to access mental health care for you and your family, free medical insurance, wellbeing and sports programmes, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, beautiful offices, flexible working, career development, and many other benefits that reflect our human value, you’ll do the best work of your life at Xero.
