About the role
As a Graduate Data Analyst, you’ll utilize your analytical abilities to collect, organize, and analyze data to provide insights that drive decision-making and optimize business performance. You’ll be responsible for interpreting data, identifying trends, and generating reports to support various departments within the organization. Some of what you will do:
• Collecting and compiling data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs.
• Cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
• Performing exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within the data.
• Utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings effectively.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of data models and algorithms.
• Collaborating with team members to understand data requirements and objectives.
• Generating reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Supporting ad-hoc analysis and data inquiries from different departments.
• Monitoring data quality and integrity to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and data management.
What will help you be successful:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Python.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Prior internship or coursework experience in data analysis or related field is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is desirable but not required.
• Understanding of database management systems and data warehousing principles is advantageous.
