Data Analyst - ($35/hr on w2 only) -Junior role
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the State of Kansas. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to generate insights that support decision-making. This is a remote role requiring excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. • Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business stakeholders. • Clean, transform, validate, and document data to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. • Support ad-hoc reporting and data requests from project teams. • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with state standards. • Prepare summaries, presentations, and recommendations based on data findings. Required Skills • 4 7 years of experience as a Data Analyst. • Strong proficiency in SQL. • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas). • Experience with data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills • Experience working on government or public sector projects. • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods. • Experience with Python or R (nice to have). Apply tot his job
