Damage Assessment and Inspection

Remote Full-time
Civil Logistics is a certified service-disabled veteran owned small business, performing roles in both the insurance adjusting and government contracting segments. We have been doing this type of work for the past 10 years and in that time, we have expanded our footprint and now due to demand, we are reaching out to a larger audience in hopes of providing an excellent opportunity for qualified... candidates to join our roster. We have high ethical standards which drive our corporate behavior and expectations of those who work with us.

The below opportunity would be great for anyone with a construction, inspection, damage assessment, compliance, or insurance background. We also welcome those who have done this type of job and who want to work with a company they feel at home with.

Immediately after a disaster, there is a need to conduct residential damage assessments for survivors affected by presidentially declared disasters within the United States, Tribal governments, and its Territories.

There is often financial assistance and direct services to eligible individuals and households affected by a disaster, who are uninsured or underinsured for necessary expenses and serious needs. One of those government agencies is FEMA.

Residential damage assessments are used in determining eligibility for FEMA programs, since it is FEMA’s desire to ensure that all individuals and families adversely affected by a presidentially declared disaster or emergency have timely access to the full range of FEMA programs.

We are looking for additional resources to assist us in that recovery mission by identifying, screening and selecting qualified candidates who want to be a part of this effort to assist those in need after a disaster.

The primary initial assessment method to be conducted is on-site damage level type. There is a full slate of processes and procedures, along with usage of government systems and programs, to be shared with those selected for this type of work, but at the core of this effort, we are looking for staff who can:

Collect and report disaster-caused residential and personal property losses and verify ownership, occupancy and survivor needs by means approved by FEMA.

· FEMA or HUD disaster recovery programs experience is a plus.

· Expertise of smartphone apps, MS Office, and Data Information System is a requirement.

· Field experience at the state and/or local level preferred.
