About the Position
Sentry Insurance is looking for an experienced Physical Security Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a Physical Security Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security systems to protect people, physical assets, and facilities from potential threats or breaches.
Responsibilities:
Ā The installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of security solution operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Ā Overseeing vendors, technicians, and installers in relation to physical security infrastructure research, implementation, and improvements.
Ā Providing expertise on various types of enterprise platforms, such as facilities access systems, CCTV systems, AI-driven detection controls, and threat intelligence platforms.
Ā Ensuring the maturity and effectiveness of multiple security platforms by reviewing their performance, availability, and capacity management. Conducting monitoring through automated functional and performance testing, investigating potential problems, and determining solutions as necessary to avoid service interruptions.
Ā Recommending and implementing new features and functions within platforms to streamline processes and enable continuous deployment of new capabilities.
Ā Providing technical maintenance services and overseeing the implementation of patches to integrated security systems and solutions, ensuring continuous availability and operation. This includes evaluating functionality, overseeing and conducting testing, and providing recommendations and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and systems.
Ā Auditing and code testing to identify data security vulnerabilities and undertaking necessary actions to eliminate identified threats. Implementing architectural changes when intrusions occur and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented changes. Creating reports to summarize findings to management.
Ā Ensuring security plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with overall information standards. Identifying security risks and exposures, determining the causes of security violations, and suggesting procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
Ā Communicating, implementing, enforcing, and monitoring security controls to protect the organization's technology assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. Providing training, informational, and educational materials to support technology users.
