Cyber Security Operations Associate Analyst (Remote)
Purpose
Resp & Qualifications
Performs Cyber Security Operational duties to ensure the appropriate ongoing operations of systems, processes, and policies within the Cyber Security Team. This includes functions such as monitoring, upgrading, day-to-day maintenance, operational changes, etc. in support of projects/initiatives/operations to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the systems, processes, and controls.
Essential Functions
ā¢ Remain up to date on Cyber Security trends and emergent threats as well as the technologies/processes/procedures/controls assigned.
ā¢ Ensure the ongoing efficient and effective operations of the assigned systems, processes, and procedures to fully meet the control objectives. Identify control and operational improvements
ā¢ Assist projects, initiatives, and other incidents and/or requests. General understanding of ITIL processes/practices and how they apply to the role.
ā¢ General understanding of Security Control Frameworks, regulatory requirements, and contractual requirements as they relate to assigned areas of responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Associate degree and 2 years related experience or cybersecurity certification and 2 years related experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
ā¢ This is an entry-level role supporting basic cybersecurity operations, such as system monitoring, user support, and low-complexity issue resolution.
ā¢ You will be taught how to: data collection and parsing; network & protocol analysis; tools development/analysis; vulnerability/intrusion detection; evaluation of diverse sources and formats of ingest data; devising tailored workflows, analytics and/or visualizations; working with specific tools and methodologies; producing formal/informal reports, briefings; assessment of cyber-attacks and development of effective countermeasures.
ā¢ Main part of the role will be diagnosing and resolving customer reported system incidents, problems, and events.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
ā¢ Ability to explain technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel.
ā¢ Ability to work calmly under pressure and threat activity.
ā¢ Ability to effectively influence and modify the opinions, plans, or behaviors of others.
ā¢ Knowledge of network architecture and firewall security.
ā¢ Understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred Upon Hire
ā¢ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Salary Range: $63,432 - $125,983
