Cyber security engineer - Contract to Hire
Cybersecurity Engineer We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to help secure and harden a growing, AI-enabled SaaS platform. This role focuses on protecting application code, cloud infrastructure, and customer data as the platform scales. This is a hands-on engineering role, not IT or support. Responsibilities Review and strengthen application security across web, backend, and APIs Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities Help design secure authentication and authorization patterns Secure third-party integrations and API access Implement and review encryption and secrets management practices Support cloud and CI/CD security hardening Establish security best practices for the engineering team Assist with compliance readiness and security documentation Required Experience Application security for modern web platforms Secure API design and testing Authentication and authorization systems Cloud security fundamentals Encryption and secure data handling Vulnerability assessment and threat modeling Preferred Experience SaaS or startup environments Multi-tenant systems Compliance frameworks (SOC 2 or similar) What We’re Looking For Security-first, risk-based mindset Ability to communicate clearly with engineers Practical, scalable approach to security Comfortable working in evolving codebases Outcome A more secure and resilient platform Clear security standards for ongoing development Reduced risk as the product and customer base grow Apply tot his job
