Department: OPS | CW Campus Operations HVAC and Controls Summary of Job Duties: This position is responsible for the maintenance and modification of the Building Automation System (BAS) related to the operation of HVAC equipment that serve’s the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are vital to the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, students and employees. This position is also responsible for assisting with all problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus. Qualifications: 1 year of Technical/Trade school and 1 year of HVAC Control experience or HS diploma/GED plus 2 years of HVAC Control’s Experience Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Basic knowledge of installation, diagnosis and repair of Building Automation Systems Utilizing knowledge of environmental control systems Advanced computer technology, electronics, direct digital control (DDC), pneumatic controls, hydronics water systems, mechanical/electrical systems and control techniques. Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions The ability to responds and resolves service calls, providing preventive maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting knowledge of Building Automation Systems.
