Job Summary As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk - Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our computer system, including calculating dosages, assigning directions, and processing insurance payments in a timely manner. You will also communicate with physician offices and insurance companies to verify patient information and resolve any issues that may arise. Additionally, you will be responsible for responding to patient calls to facilitate and manage new patient orders, refills, and other pharmacy-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into our computer system, including calculating dosages and assigning directions Verify patient information and resolve any issues that may arise with physician offices and insurance companies Respond to patient calls to facilitate and manage new patient orders, refills, and other pharmacy-related inquiries Utilize computer software to perform data entry tasks, including typing, keyboarding, and navigating Windows-based applications Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CVS Health's policies and procedures Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet productivity and quality standards Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not required) Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to type accurately and efficiently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and use a computer keyboard and mouse Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates with the following qualifications: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician Experience working in a call center or customer service environment Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and healthcare operations Experience with clinical billing, coding, and other clinical support roles Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent time management and organizational skills What We Offer At CVS Health, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Competitive hourly rate ($25-$35/hour) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous paid time off and holidays Opportunities for career growth and professional development Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Discounts on CVS Health products and services Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CVS Health, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
