Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Customs Brokerage Representative III to join our team remotely. As a key member of our customs brokerage team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of international shipments, managing customer relationships, and resolving complex issues related to customs clearance and logistics. Key Responsibilities Arrange Final Delivery of International Shipments: Coordinate with logistics carriers to arrange final delivery of international shipments for all modes of transportation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Customer Support: Work directly with customers in a support capacity, maintaining professional relationships and providing excellent customer service. Container Pickup and Delivery: Prioritize urgent containers for pickup and delivery, ensuring timely movement of freight. Problem-Solving and Resolution: Identify and resolve complex issues related to customs clearance, logistics, and transportation, including FDA holds, Customs exams, ABI errors, and other entry status issues. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate information for individuals within own work unit as well as other functions, departments, and companies, including daily reports to confirm timely pick up and returns to designated locations. Account Management: Manage several accounts simultaneously, providing excellent customer service, accurate and timely submission of delivery instructions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively with logistics carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight and resolve issues. Requirements Essential Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in customer service or general office environment, with 1 year of experience in brokerage or a related field. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree preferred. Customs Regulations: Familiarity with US Customs Regulations and import procedures. HTS and OGA Clearances: Knowledge of HTS, Customs Regulations, and OGA Clearances. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with customers, logistics carriers, and internal teams. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues. Preferred Qualifications: Air and Ocean Experience: 1 year of air and ocean experience preferred. Microsoft Office: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. Brokerage Systems: Familiarity with BDIS (Brokerage Document Imaging System), E2K (Transportation System), FGV - Flex Global View, and BOSS (Brokerage Operations Support System). Customs Broker License: Customs Broker License preferred. ACE/FDA Experience: ACE/FDA experience preferred.
