What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide customer support for patients, referral sources, and employees in relation to Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
- Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks for services/products
- Manage initial intake processes, including phone calls, data entry, and paperwork processing
- Maintain quality control and accuracy throughout patient contact and data input
- Develop and maintain knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Background investigation and drug screening may be required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One year of related work experience
- Extensive knowledge of documentation needed for wound types and insurance requirements for NPWT
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong customer service background
