Customer Support & Shopify Admin Tasks (E-commerce Focus) - Contract to Hire
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help with customer support and Shopify store management for an e-commerce agency.You’ll be supporting daily operations, communicating with clients, and assisting with backend admin tasks.You must be organized, responsive, and experienced with Shopify.Responsibilities:Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and Shopify inboxManage order updates, refunds, cancellations, and customer escalationsHandle customer support calls when needed (using Google Meet)Track customer support tickets and escalate complex issues when neededAssist with Shopify backend tasks (product uploads, basic edits, discount creation, customer account management, etc.)Update customer profiles and orders when necessaryCoordinate with our internal team to ensure client requests are handled promptlyHelp with basic store content updates (titles, descriptions, metafields)Monitor open orders, fulfillment, and delivery statusesLight reporting on customer feedback and common support issuesRequirements:Experience with Shopify (basic to intermediate backend use)Strong written and verbal English communication skills (professional and friendly tone)Comfortable speaking with customers over Google Meet when necessaryExperience in customer support (email, chat, and calls)High attention to detail and ability to follow processesAbility to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at onceFast response time during working hours (you don’t need to be glued to the screen, but updates are expected)Proactive — you suggest improvements, not just wait for instructionsNice to Have (Bonus):Experience working with e-commerce or Shopify agenciesFamiliarity with tools like ClickUp, Slack, or Shopify admin messagingBasic understanding of Shopify SEO, metafields, or apps (helpful but not required)Work Details:Part-time to start (10-20 hours/week), with potential to growLong-term preferred — we want someone who can be part of the teamFlexible hours, but some overlap with PST timezone preferredTo Apply:Please send:A short note about your Shopify and customer support experience (including call handling if any)A recent example of a customer support interaction (email or call) you handledYour availability and timezoneWe’re excited to find someone who is friendly, organized, and genuinely cares about delivering a great experience to customers.
