About the Role

As a Customer Service Specialist at Sherwin-Williams, you will be the face of our company, interacting with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and resolve any concerns in a timely and professional manner. Your role is crucial in driving customer satisfaction, achieving sales goals, and maintaining the high standards of our products and store displays. You'll work in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing your excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and problem-solving abilities to create a positive experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities


Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and product knowledge
Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services
Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers to drive loyalty and repeat business
Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with company policies and procedures
Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, contributing to the overall success of the store
Maintain precise work order files and formulas, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, tint and mix products as needed, and stock shelves to maintain a visually appealing store environment
Clean store equipment, load/unload delivery trucks, and assist in making deliveries as required
Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options with customers to meet their needs
Comply with inventory control procedures and suggest ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction


Qualifications and Requirements

We're committed to providing comprehensive training to our new Customer Service Specialists, so you don't need prior experience to apply. However, you must meet our minimum requirements:


Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status
Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
Be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
Be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation


While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:


High School diploma or GED
At least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish
