Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Location: Onsite – Tallahassee, FL
Job Summary:
We're seeking a Customer Service Representative to support the Office of Student Financial Assistance by answering calls from Florida high school and college students about scholarship and grant opportunities. This is a public-facing role ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, comfortable using computers, and enjoy helping others.
Responsibilities:
• Handle inbound calls from students and families regarding scholarships and grants
• Provide accurate and timely information following provided guidelines
• Log and manage interactions using computer systems
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues appropriately
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure calls
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a customer service or call center environment
• Familiarity with state or educational programs a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
