About blithequark and the Role As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the primary interface for our members, handling incoming phone calls, and providing expert guidance on their inquiries. You'll serve as a member advocate, building trust and being the voice of the customer. By leveraging established best practices, ongoing training, and cutting-edge resources, you'll navigate the complex world of insurance and make a real difference in the lives of our members. Key Responsibilities Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to address their inquiries and concerns. Research customer information using various systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues. Escalate sensitive customer requests when necessary to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution. Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, staying up-to-date on changing policies and procedures to support customers and ensure compliance. Remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. Availability for training (9-12 weeks in length). Preferred Qualifications The strongest candidates for this position will also possess: Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation skills, which will be a significant plus.
