We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the friendly face and essential resource for guests at the arenaflex Historic Site. This temporary, part‑time role offers a rewarding blend of guest interaction, operational support, and cultural stewardship – perfect for individuals who thrive in vibrant, visitor‑focused environments.

Position Overview
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring each guest enjoys a welcoming, informative, and seamless experience from the moment they arrive until they depart. You will handle inquiries, manage admissions, oversee the gift shop, and support educational tours, all while upholding arenaflex’s standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Reception & Assistance: Greet visitors warmly, answer questions about the historic site, provide directions, and facilitate a positive first impression.
Phone & Communication Management: Answer incoming calls, route inquiries to the appropriate departments, and respond to information requests with accuracy and courtesy.
Tour Coordination: Check in school groups and organized tours, distribute educational materials, and guide guests to designated areas while ensuring safety protocols.
Financial Transactions: Process admission fees, gift‑shop purchases, and other payments (cash, credit, and electronic). Accurately reconcile daily totals and maintain financial records.
Gift Shop Operations: Stock shelves, arrange merchandise displays, assist visitors with product selections, and conduct inventory checks.
Facility Upkeep: Keep the reception area, museum galleries, and gift shop clean, organized, and presentable. Perform routine checks for signage and informational brochures.
Team Collaboration: Work independently when needed, but also actively support fellow team members during peak periods, special events, and promotional activities.
Ad‑hoc Duties: Take on additional tasks such as assisting with special exhibitions, participating in community outreach events, and supporting marketing initiatives as directed.

Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; an approachable and professional demeanor.
Basic proficiency with computers, point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays.
Minimum age of 18 years.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience in customer service, retail, museum, or hospitality environments.
Familiarity with historical or cultural sites, educational programming, or tourism.
Cash handling experience and knowledge of POS reconciliation.
First‑aid or CPR certification—valuable for ensuring visitor safety.
Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to assist a diverse visitor base.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

Interpersonal Excellence: Ability to connect with guests of all ages, backgrounds, and interests, creating a memorable and inclusive experience.
Problem‑Solving Agility: Quickly identify visitor needs, resolve issues, and adapt to changing circumstances without compromising service quality.
Attention to Detail: Accurate handling of financial transactions, inventory management, and record‑keeping.
Team Orientation: Collaborative spirit that balances independent initiative with supporting teammates during busy periods.
