What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a multifaceted role that combines hospitality, administrative support, and operational excellence. Your days will be dynamic and engaging, requiring both attention to detail and genuine people skills. Here's what you can expect:
Member Services & Inquiries
Receive, address, and respond to general inquiries, requests for service, support requests, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
Research and investigate all inquiries thoroughly to address any issues or concerns accurately and completely
Refer complex concerns to appropriate service areas or departments for follow-up when necessary, ensuring seamless resolution
Resolve routine and basic problems independently, communicating solutions or requested information clearly to customers
Verify that appropriate changes and resolutions have been finalized to the customer's satisfaction
Document all customer interactions meticulously, recording details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and final resolutions in our database
Escalate and refer unresolved customer grievances to department leadership for further review when needed
Front Desk Operations
Facilitate front desk check-in procedures for facility visits, personal training sessions, fitness classes, and other programs
Provide engaging and informative tours to prospective members, showcasing our facilities, programs, and membership benefits
Process payments accurately for pro-shop sales, membership enrollments, and wellness programs
Answer questions and provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
Support and enforce all arenaflex Fitness and Wellness Center policies consistently and professionally
Facility Support & Safety
Report facility and operational issues promptly to management, housekeeping, and security teams
Provide information regarding proper and safe use of fitness equipment, offering guidance when needed
Perform routine maintenance of the fitness floor and equipment to ensure a safe, clean environment
Respond appropriately in emergency situations (medical or otherwise), including contacting emergency services (911) and arenaflex Campus Security as needed
Confidentiality & Compliance
Review and process confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
Adhere to arenaflex and unit-level policies and procedures at all times
Safeguard arenaflex assets and maintain the integrity of sensitive information

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant customer service experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations
Strong problem-solving abilities—you can recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of challenges efficiently
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Flexibility to work evening, night, and weekend shifts as required by our facility operations
Proficiency in computer software, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations and follow established safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a fitness, recreational, or hospitality environment
Knowledge of fitness center operations, wellness programs, or recreational facility management
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and membership management software
CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) – a significant advantage in our diverse Miami community
