The Medicaid CHOICE Project is a vital initiative aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for New Yorkers. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be an integral part of this project, working closely with Medicaid offices, provider sites, and community-based organizations to ensure seamless enrollment and disenrollment processes. Key Responsibilities Conduct face-to-face outreach and enrollment services, educating clients on managed care options and public health programs at various locations, including Medicaid offices, provider sites, and community-based organizations. Assist clients with the enrollment and disenrollment process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Receive, sort, and process enrollment, transfer, and disenrollment forms, reviewing them for accuracy and completeness. Maintain positive and professional relationships with HRA, LDSS staff, community groups, and clients, fostering a collaborative environment. Stay up-to-date with the New York Medicaid CHOICE Project, raising concerns or issues to the Field Operations Manager as needed. Perform data entry tasks, submitting daily reports and assisting with quality reviews. Provide support with data entry refresher training and other special projects as required. Meet all standards established for this position, as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template. Perform other duties as assigned by Management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or equivalent; a College degree or equivalent is preferred. Experience making presentations to groups, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of the community to be served, with the ability to follow directions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ability to handle pressure, execute multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Two or more years of human services experience or experience working with the public. Fluency in commonly spoken languages; bilingual fluency may be required for some positions.
