Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative - Clinical, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's mission by providing exceptional customer service to our members. You will respond to customer inquiries, provide information regarding all aspects of the members' association with ASH, and forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department. Key Responsibilities


Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Answer incoming calls in a professional, accurate, timely, and courteous manner, and respond to customer inquiries via phone and other communication channels.
Record and Document Information: Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in the Communication Log, and document all calls appropriately.
Utilize Proprietary Systems: Look up member information using proprietary ASH systems and provide information to the caller.
Forward Logs and Transfer Calls: Forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department, and transfer callers to the appropriate queue if the question is of a more complex issue (claims, authorizations, etc.).
Manage Time and Prioritize Tasks: Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow-up is done in a timely manner.
Meet Key Job Accountabilities: Meet or exceed minimum key job accountabilities established for the Customer Service Representative position.
Attend Meetings and Respond to Requests: Attend weekly staff and other meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork among department personnel, and respond to requests for internal and external customers and/or clients, as required.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications


High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one-year experience performing customer service duties; inbound call center experience preferred.
Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
Strong Verbal Communications Skills: Strong verbal communications skills required.

Healthcare Industry Experience: Experience in the healthcare industry or a related field.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
