Key Responsibilities – Your Day‑to‑Day Impact
Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Model and deliver a distinctive, delightful customer experience that aligns with arenaflex’s service standards.
Warmly greet each guest, make eye contact, and proactively offer assistance with products, services, and store navigation.
Answer questions, resolve concerns, and ensure every interaction ends with a satisfied and enthusiastic shopper.
Share best‑practice service habits with teammates, fostering a culture of courtesy, attentiveness, and proactive problem solving.


Sales & Checkout Operations

Operate an assigned cash register with speed, accuracy, and a friendly demeanor.
Process sales, handle cash, provide correct change, and manage voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Recommend complementary or higher‑margin items to increase basket size while respecting customer preferences.
Maintain compliance with state and local regulations for age‑restricted products such as alcohol and tobacco.


Merchandising, Inventory & Store Maintenance

Keep counters, shelves, and display areas clean, organized, and fully stocked using the first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) method.
Assist with pricing, receiving, and inventory checks as directed by the shift leader or store manager.
Set up and refresh promotional, seasonal, and sale displays, ensuring visual appeal and accuracy.
Support food‑safety protocols by separating raw and pre‑cooked items and following proper shelf placement guidelines.


Specialized Services – Photo & Online Order Fulfillment

Provide friendly assistance in the photo area, operating digital passport photo stations, poster printers, and creative machines.
Suggest and upsell promotional photo products, enhancing the guest’s purchase experience.
Monitor and fulfill web‑pick‑up orders (formerly Picture Care Plus), picking items, preparing them for customer pickup, and delivering them promptly upon arrival.


Asset Protection & Compliance

Apply arenaflex’s asset‑protection procedures to minimize shrinkage and safeguard revenue.
Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.


Team Collaboration & Continuous Learning

Maintain respectful, supportive relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
Complete special assignments, store projects, or ad‑hoc tasks as needed.
Participate in scheduled training sessions, completing required Performance‑Learning Modules (PPLs) and skill‑building activities.


Essential Qualifications – What You Need to Succeed

High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education or retail certifications are a plus.
Strong verbal communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
Basic math proficiency for cash handling, pricing, and inventory tasks.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lb, and navigate a fast‑moving retail environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by temporary scheduling.


Preferred Qualifications – Extra Credit for Exceptional Candidates

Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer‑service role.
Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic computer usage.
