What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll play a multifaceted role that combines sales expertise, customer engagement, and operational excellence. Here's what you can expect:

Customer Experience Excellence


Welcome and greet every customer with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they walk through our doors
Actively engage with customers and patients by offering assistance with products and services, taking the time to understand their unique needs
Resolve customer issues and answer questions promptly and effectively, ensuring every concern is addressed to the customer's satisfaction
Model and share exceptional customer service best practices with all team members, helping to elevate the entire team's performance
Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal habits including friendly greetings, appropriate eye contact, and courteous behavior at all times
Embody arenaflex service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying customer needs, and servicing customers until they are completely satisfied


Sales and Register Operations


Process customer purchases accurately on assigned cash registers, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently
Provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service that leaves a lasting positive impression
Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest complementary trade-up and companion items to enhance their purchase
Collect cash and distribute change as requested, maintaining accuracy in all financial transactions
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed, following company procedures
Register customer purchases meticulously, ensuring every item is properly scanned and priced


Store Operations and Merchandising


Keep counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and organized to create an appealing shopping environment
Take inventory regularly and maintain accurate records to ensure stock levels are optimized
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or communicated by shift leaders
Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, protecting our business assets
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products
Construct and maintain attractive displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
Complete resets and revisions as directed, keeping our store fresh and engaging
Assist with proper separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies and procedures
For consumable items, assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out (FIFO) method and restock outs to minimize waste


Specialized Service Areas


Provide exceptional customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster prints, and creative machine operations
Perform suggestive selling of promotional photo products to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales
Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders in our digital systems, filling orders (picking items), and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store


Store Maintenance and Teamwork


Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance
Comply with all company policies and procedures while maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability


What We're Looking For: Qualifications

Basic Qualifications


Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
Availability: Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks


Preferred Qualifications


Six months or more of experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer-facing roles
Prior work experience with arenaflex or similar retail organizations
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
Basic math skills and comfort with handling cash transactions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and store equipment
