As a Customer Service Associate I at arenaflex, you will be the face of our store, representing our brand values and ensuring that every customer receives the highest level of service. Customer Assistance and Guidance

Greet customers warmly and proactively offer assistance to enhance their shopping experience
Respond to customer inquiries with patience, empathy, and accuracy, providing product recommendations when appropriate
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of store products, promotions, and layouts to guide customers efficiently
Resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty
Assist customers with locating items, checking inventory, and processing special orders when needed


Sales Transaction Management

Operate cash registers with precision and efficiency, processing various forms of payment including cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments
Accurately handle cash transactions, ensuring proper counting, change giving, and reconciliation at the end of each shift
Maintain strict security protocols to protect company assets and prevent shrinkage
Balance registers daily, investigating and reporting any discrepancies promptly
Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies


Store Operations and Merchandising

Receive merchandise shipments and assist with unloading trucks, ensuring timely and accurate stocking of products
Restock shelves, displays, and backroom inventory to maintain optimal product availability and store appearance
Follow productivity standards to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for stocking and recovery tasks
Rotate stock properly to ensure product freshness and minimize waste, especially for perishable items
Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management for reordering


Store Cleanliness and Maintenance

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment at all times
Clean and restock restrooms throughout the day, ensuring they are well-stocked and sanitary
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the store, including sales floor, stockroom, and entryways
Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
Clean windows, mirrors, and other surfaces to maintain a pristine appearance
Ensure that all areas of the store are neat, presentable, and safe for customers and team members


Safety and Compliance

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to create a secure environment for customers and associates
Maintain awareness of store security systems and report any suspicious activity immediately
Follow proper lifting techniques and use equipment safely when handling merchandise
Participate in safety training sessions and comply with all company policies regarding workplace safety
Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all individuals in the store


Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with fellow associates, supervisors, and management to achieve store objectives
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
Support colleagues during peak times, vacation periods, and unexpected absences

What We Are Looking For: Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred, though we welcome candidates who are currently pursuing their education
Experience: Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, food service, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred, but we are open to training enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn
Language Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in English are required; bilingual abilities are a plus


Physical Requirements

Ability to lift merchandise weighing between 30 and 50 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height
Capability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the store for extended periods
Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to work in varying temperatures, depending on store section (e.g., freezer, refrigerated areas)
