Our team is essential in providing a safe and welcoming environment. Your work will directly contribute to the health and safety of everyone in our care. From disinfecting high-touch surfaces to preventing the spread of harmful pathogens, your role is critical in the fight against infection and ensuring a safe space for all.In this position, you will:
Make a difference in the care and experience of all the patients and visitors to Legacy Emanuel and Randallâs Childrenâs Hospitals.
Be part of the frontline of healthcare, directly interacting with patientsâincluding COVID-positive individualsâto actively prevent disease from spreading.
Be trained to handle medical waste, including biohazards, blood products, bodily fluids, sharps disposal, linen, and pharmaceutical waste.

Safe operating of cleaning equipment and preparation of cleaning chemicals.
Application of correct cleaning procedures and chemicals
Maintains established preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment as required. * Follows appropriate security measures when cleaning medication rooms and refrigerators. Respects and understands the need for medication inventory control and security.
Participates in process improvement activities.
Other duties as required.
Able to read, write and perform math skills in English.
Must be able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions.
