Position Overview: Customer Service Agent – Ticket and Gate Operations

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to fill the role of Customer Service Agent within our Ticket and Gateway Operations division. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy interacting with people, possess strong communication skills, and can maintain composure under pressure. As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the travel experience for our passengers and ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.

This full-time position is based in California and offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our operations run around the clock to serve our customers' travel needs.

Key Responsibilities

Ticket Counter Operations


Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude as the first point of contact at the ticket counter
Sell, print, and reissue travel tickets using computerized reservation systems
Manage the check-in process efficiently, ensuring customers have all required documentation for their journeys
Verify travel documents, identification, and compliance with security regulations
Process baggage check-in, tagging luggage and managing weight restrictions
Handle baggage lifting tasks, moving items from scales to conveyor systems (ranging from floor level to waist height)
Assist customers with seat selection, upgrades, and special requests
Process flight reservations, changes, and cancellations professionally
Maintain thorough knowledge of fare rules, route maps, and travel policies
Demonstrate adherence to security protocols in all operational processes


Gate Operations


Welcome and assist customers at the boarding gate area
Use computer systems to check seat availability and manage boarding assignments
Make gate announcements regarding boarding procedures, flight status, and delays
Assist passengers with flight connections, itinerary changes, and rebooking
Handle baggage check-in and management at the gate
Initiate and manage the boarding process, ensuring efficient passenger flow
Prepare aircraft for arrival by positioning equipment and ensuring gate areas are ready
Operate aircraft doors safely, including opening, closing, and securing doors
Coordinate with flight crews to ensure smooth turn-around operations
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Maintain safety-conscious behaviors throughout all operational procedures


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
Ability to frequently lift bags and items weighing up to 80 pounds
Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard software applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proper grammar, tone, and diction
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish
Ability to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Commitment to prioritizing safety and security for self and others at all times
Ability to embrace diverse perspectives, thinking styles, and backgrounds
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
