About the Role:
Title: Customer Engineer - Windows Server Platforms
Location: 100% remote
Day to Day:
Focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments, and providing expert guidance.
Train customers and share industry and development expertise.
Be part of a thriving developer community that's constantly looking for ways to improve our customers experience, software development goals, and use of technology.
Build strong customer relationships and ensure deliveries align with customer projects and milestones.
Gain access to expertise and support from clients consulting practice and product group.
Growth Mindset.
Troubleshooting/Problem Analysis.
Maintain, and extend accreditations and certifications, assist in developing best practices for key technologies and products to support technical team readiness.
Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, and gain trust and respect for client's Premier.
Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation, and training skills.
Advanced Certifications are highly preferred.
Requirements:
Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.
8+ years experience with customer-facing roles in systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, IT consulting, on-premises and cloud support or consulting for enterprise and/or government customer base, and advanced troubleshooting, and understanding of Modern IT Architecture and Strategy
Azure, knowledge of:
Ø IaaS platform (networking, storage, etc.)
Ø Infrastructure as Code
Ø Governance
Ø Azure Migrate
Ø Well-Architected Framework
Ø Cloud Adoption Framework
Broad knowledge of on-premises products with deep understanding of the following:
Ø Windows Server (Windows Server 2012 R2-2025 = advanced to expert level)
Ø Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure VMWare Services, Azure Stack HCI)
Ø Windows Client (Windows 10/11 - advanced to expert level)
Ø Patching/Windows Update
Ø Networking
Ø Storage
Ø Failover Clustering
Ø Windows Performance
Ø Blue Screen/kernel debugging
Ø PowerShell (scripting, automation, and DSC)
Ø RDS
Ø WVD
Ø Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments
Ø Windows and Azure certifications
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between 100000- 120000 Annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
