Customer Care representative - Near North Customs - Afternoon Shift

That is our promise, one that is backed by our investment in people and technology, and sets Near North apart from our competitors.Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:Ensure shipments are not delayed at border by accurately completing documentation or providing information to ensure documentation is complete within pre-assigned time limitsEnsure customs paperwork are legal and accurate documentsExamine all incoming customs invoices to check for accuracy of weights, values, tariff codes, quantity, GST, duty and excise taxFlag shipments that may require amendment and pass appropriate information along to Team Leader to avoid finesTrack shipments to ensure shipments have been released by customs – go online and track entries by reference number, print copy and attach to customs documentPrepare and apply for Import PermitsEnsure customs information and knowledge is constantly kept up to dateCoordinate with other internal staff regarding any customs issuesLiaison between various levels of government and customs officials.
