Custom Cabinet Designer / Estimator
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Custom Cabinetry Designer / Estimator to join our team to help our current and potential customers. The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in custom cabinet design, in addition to in various construction-related tasks and possess a strong understanding of cabinetry installation and construction estimating. In addition, you'll be friendly, outgoing, personable on the phone and be able to navigate our software suite (CRM, email, website etc.). Experience with KCD Software is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
- Convert customer needs into custom cabinetry designs and layouts, including price estimation in KCD.
-Convert architectural designs into custom cabinetry layouts and designs in KCD.
-Follow up with potential customers (phone, email, sms) who have reached out to us about our products (inbound)
- Describe our product and system to potential customers, and establish their needs
- Determine if they are a good match as a customer, and collect necessary documents to our designers to use for quoting
- Collaborate with team members on customers to put together a project packet, that allows a designer to have good grasp on customer needs
- Set appointments for designers to work with customers and design/quote project
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of custom cabinetry, framed and frameless.
- Extensive experience designing and estimating fully custom cabinetry.
- Ability to professionally communicate with contractors and designers
- Proven experience in cabinet installation and construction projects
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints
- Proficiency in internet and office software, including CRM, VOIP, Chrome, Gmail etc.
- Familiarity with cabinetry fabrication is a plus
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques is advantageous
