Job Description:
Akkodis is seeking a Custom Application Architect for a Contract with a client in Pittsburgh, PA(Remote). Candidate must have advanced capability in designing high‑performing, secure Java application architectures for complex enterprise systems.
Rate Range: $59/hour to $61/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Custom Application Architect job responsibilities include:
Leading architectural discussions to design scalable, secure, and high‑performing Java applications.
Mentoring team members to promote continuous learning, technical growth, and effective collaboration.
Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending tools that enhance system performance and security.
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into clear technical specifications.
Reviewing application architectures regularly to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards.
Providing solutions to complex technical challenges across multiple teams to support smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education.
Candidate will have extensive experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and enterprise‑level architecture leadership.
Strong proficiency in Java Spring MVC, Microservices (Saga, CQRS), and CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions.
Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions, mentor teams, and ensure alignment with best practices and technical standards.

Pay Details: $59.00 to $61.00 per hour
