We are a reputable further education provider seeking a skilled, experienced a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Development Specialist to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality curriculum programs that meet the needs of our students and stakeholders. As a valued member of our academic team, you will play a crucial role within the organisation.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Curriculum Development Specialist to lead the design, development, and implementation of curriculum programs that align with industry standards and awarding body requirements. You will work closely with academic staff, industry partners, and awarding bodies to ensure that our curriculum is relevant, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our students and stakeholders. Experience of OTHM, CTH, Qualifi and Pearson curriculum would be an edge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement high-quality curriculum programs that meet industry standards and awarding body requirements

- Work closely with academic staff to ensure curriculum is delivered to a high standard and that students receive a excellent learning experience

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with awarding bodies, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure curriculum is relevant and up-to-date

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for curriculum development

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new curriculum programs and modules

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and awarding body standards

- Develop and implement assessment strategies that are valid, reliable and fair

- Work with academic staff to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies

- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes

Qualifications:

- Essential:

- Relevant degree (e.g. Education, Subject Specialism)

- 2+ years' experience in curriculum development or a related field

- Experience working with awarding bodies and understanding of their requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong project management and organisational skills

- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively

- Desirable:

- Postgraduate qualification in Curriculum Development, Education, or related field

- Experience in a similar role in a further education or higher education setting

- Knowledge of curriculum design and development principles

- Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and regulatory requirements

Desirable Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

- Experience of working with diverse student groups, including international students

- Knowledge of Levels 3-8 Diploma curriculum and assessment requirements
