About Milo’s Academy: We are a medical education software company that designs memory tools for healthcare learning in subjects such as anatomy and the biological sciences. Our company of 25+ started off as a community of medical students and undergraduate students. Therefore, our work is done remotely and our schedule is flexible. Creative Illustrator Position: • Our creative illustrators make static 2D illustrations of characters and scenery to accompany our stories and memory devices related to the corresponding anatomy. • Must have illustration background related to character design and/or environment design. • Must have digital illustration expertise with Adobe Photoshop and be willing to work digitally. Other digital software may be considered, but Photoshop is preferred. • Must have a flexible style and take feedback well. • While you will not be drawing the anatomy itself, Anatomy Lab experience and anatomy knowledge is a must for this post, since human anatomy is the focus of our work, and informs most creative decisions. • Artistic skills or experience needed for this post include digital painting & illustration, character design & illustration, background/environment illustration, storyboarding experience, the ability to adapt your style to match our current style, a strong understanding of human anatomy and mechanics, life art or figure drawing experience. • Applicant must be detail oriented, and must be able to take feedback and direct instructions in a hierarchical organization. • Applicant's job will be defined, but if applicant can demonstrate versatile far-reaching skills, there is more room for opportunity in our growing startup. • You can check out samples of our work at anatomyland.com • If you'd like to be a part of our company and share in taking the jump to get to the finish line, please submit your application with resume and relevant work samples today! • ***Please attach your portfolio or include a link for us to view samples of your work with your application.
