Court Reporter/Stenographer - Contractor Position
eScribers is looking for stenographic court reporters. Candidates must have training or relevant experience as a steno reporter to apply. The company is a nationwide court reporting and transcription company with a need for reporters to appear in-person for hearings in Nassau County, NY and surrounding areas, with remote work also available. General requirements include providing NCRA, NVRA, NYSCRA Certification Credentials or proof of successful completion of an accredited court reporting program, legal eligibility to work in the United States, professionalism, commitment to deadlines, high-speed internet connection, reliable transportation, and a current U.S. bank account for contract payments. Compensation is on a per-project/assignment basis as an independent contractor, including daily appearance fees, transcription fees, travel expenses reimbursement if necessary, and weekly pay via direct deposit. Selected candidates will undergo an onboarding process involving paperwork and workflow system familiarization. Compensation varies based on the number of cases covered, with priority given to applicants maintaining excellent quality standards.
