Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. Online instructors must have evidence of successful teaching experience at an accredited college or university before they will be considered as an Online instructor. To teach undergraduate level courses applicants must hold a master’s degree in the discipline in which you wish to teach.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in astronomy or related field.
• Prior online teaching and course development experience is preferred.

Course developers will work with a dedicated team of instructional designers and the Physics program coordinator to create the best possible student experience. Course developers are asked to teach the course(s) they've created after the courses have been developed.

Course Description

This is an algebra based non-majors online lecture and laboratory course.

This course will study the complexities of the universe. It will examine the physical, chemical and meteorological, and geological aspects of the universe, including planets, suns, asteroids, and nebulas.
