Role Overview: Location: Tokyo, Japan (Onsite) Compensation: Competitive salary + performance-based bonus We are seeking a Country Manager to take full ownership of the Japan business in one of the world’s most important luxury fashion markets. This role carries end-to-end responsibility for market performance, including strategy, revenue growth, partnerships, operations, and team leadership. You will act as the local business owner, driving expansion and establishing a leading market position. Key Responsibilities: Full P&L Ownership: • Own and drive Japan market P&L, including revenue, profitability, and growth targets • Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions when needed Market Leadership & Strategy: • Define and lead the overall strategy for Japan • Establish a strong position within the luxury fashion and resale ecosystem • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across categories and channels Business Development & Partnerships: • Build and maintain strategic relationships with luxury brands, retailers, distributors, and key partners • Lead high-level negotiations and secure strategic partnerships • Develop a strong local ecosystem to support marketplace expansion Team Leadership & Operations: • Build, lead, and scale the local organization • Drive a high-performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability • Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with global standards Category & Supply Expansion: • Grow supply across sneakers, apparel, bags, watches, and accessories • Drive exclusive collaborations and limited-edition launches • Align product strategy with local consumer trends, especially Gen Z Performance & Execution: • Use data-driven insights to optimize business performance • Ensure strong execution across marketing, supply, and operations • Report directly to global leadership on market performance and strategy Requirements: • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or luxury fashion • Strong background in general management, country leadership, or P&L ownership • Proven experience in business development and strategic partnerships • Track record of building and scaling teams and operations • Deep understanding of Japan’s luxury fashion and e-commerce ecosystem • Strong commercial and leadership capabilities • Fluency in Japanese, English, and Chinese Why Join: • Full ownership of a high-impact, strategic market • Opportunity to build and scale a business from the ground up • Join a fast-growing global platform at the intersection of technology and luxury • Work in a dynamic, international, and entrepreneurial environment
