This completely remote position will allow you to operate from the comfort of your own home while still providing your community with the mental health support that they need. Full-time and Part-time options are available!How Will You Make a Difference?The Mental Health Counselor provides EAP and Gambling assessments, short-term counseling, crisis intervention and case management services to clients over the telephone.Perks

Responsibilities

Provide assessments and short-term counseling services using a brief solution focused model EAP, Gambling, Special Helplines (FRAP), mandatories.
Provide counseling within a 50-minute session with documentation taking place during the balance of the counseling hour.
Attend continuous learning sessions, training, and case consultations.
Provide telephone consultations related to crisis or assessed urgent situations when required.
Comfortable navigating internal operating systems, retrieving organizational information, and communicating with clients.
Remain informed on relevant regulatory and legislative developments
Meet sessional, containment, and other targets as defined by the Clinical Manager.
Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling/Education, or related field
Examples of appropriate licenses include but are not limited to – LCPC, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, and LMFT
Must be located in California & clinically licensed; anyone without a license will not be considered.
Minimum of two years post-Master’s clinical experience.
Must have some flexibility to take on afternoon and/or weekend shifts
Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, time management and organizational skills.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Windows NT environment, basic typing skills).
Strict adherence to the ethical principles governing confidentiality/privacy legislation.
