In this vital role the Senior Manager will contribute to strategic initiatives that shape Amgen’s future – examples of which include: developing content for the annual strategy update to the Board of Directors; leading projects that address targeted strategic questions from senior leadership; and, maintaining peer benchmarks and tracking industry news events that shape the competitive landscape.Amgen is seeking a Corporate Strategy Senior Manager. The Senior Manager will report to our VP of Corporate Strategy.What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Corporate Strategy, Sr Manager we seek will have these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of healthcare business experienceOrMaster’s degree and 4 years of healthcare business experienceOrBachelor’s degree and 6 years of business experienceOrAssociate’s degree and 10 years of business experienceOrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of business experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree (or greater) in life sciencesMBA preferred, but not requiredExperience in R&D or Commercial Development a plus, but not requiredStrong business knowledge of the healthcare landscape and biopharma industryFinancial acumen and strong analytical skillsOutstanding written and oral communications skills with an emphasis on communications to senior executivesWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
