Copywriter (US - Contract) Salary/Hourly Rate: $59 - $69 per hour Onsite/Remote: This is a hybrid role in Austin, TX (highly preferred) or Seattle, WA; candidates will be required onsite 3 days per week Position Overview: Expedia Group brands power global travel for everyone, everywhere. Brand & Creative supports creative production for partner marketing, communications, and product marketing. We are searching for a talented Copywriter to join the team who excels at communicating complex ideas clearly, with a deep understanding of target audiences. This is a temporary 11-month assignment. Responsibilities of the Copywriter: Craft concepts, write, edit, proof, and finalize various content types for owned and paid channels Use original global research and first-party data to write emails, social media assets, research reports, blog posts, video scripts, and more Write in a way that supports our brand voice while also tailoring the tone and approach to engage readers Collaborate with a visual designer to produce and deliver assets for marketing channels Utilize strategic thinking to uplevel messaging and deliver creative that meets business goals Qualifications of the Copywriter: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related role Background in digital, technology and/or travel preferred. BSC/BA in marketing, communications or relevant field (agency) Familiarity with Project Management tools (smartsheets) and experience with Slack, Microsoft Office, and Keynote Outstanding copywriting and editing skills, and a high bar for grammar, spelling, and punctuation An eye for detail and an appreciation for visual design Experience writing B2B content for a variety of marketing channels Relish crafting content based on data, research, insights and customer successes An affinity for managing several projects in a fast-paced environment A willingness to be agile and tackle the ad hoc work A collaborative approach, teaming across functions and with partners Please note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
